I started #Kay’sKallouts in June 2020 with the intent of injecting more positivity into the social media world.

Recently there has been a rise in the ‘cancel culture’ that has also stemmed from calling people out. However I wanted to put a positive spin on this terminology and created Kay’s Kallouts to be a safe space of affirmation, inspiration and recognition.
Shining a light on these people whether they’re from the history books, presently living, people in the public eye on a smaller or larger scale or people I know personally. I just want to inject an extra dose of positivity and change the narrative.
There will be new ones uploaded to my socials every month and will be posted on here within a week afterwards.

#KaysKallouts 001: Jae Tallewah. This is Jae, Jae Tallawah. Pronouns: They / Them Black • Queer • ND • Bab • Unapologetic • Royalty. “I am free to show up with all the intersections of my identity and I deserve to have them respected in equal measure” I’ve known Jae since I was an awkward kid and its been beautiful to see them be the multi-faceted, super talented, neurodiverse, brimming with excellence being who I’ve been inspired by and admired for years. I’ve been watching them just navigating, growing in and embracing their truths and who they are as being and its been a beautiful journey to see. Their aura flows through the internet, their talent is indisputable and style is unmatched. Jae is a neurodivergent singer, songwriter, rapper, poet & painter who unapologetically and transparently puts out messages of positivity, self love, growth, self permission and exploration… you can find their music on Soundcloud and their debut single is now out on Spotify. #KaysKallouts 002. This is Devale & Khadeen Ellis. I’m not really about the whole couple goals thing but these two are so transparent its amazingly refreshing. Multi-faceted, multi-talented black millennial married royalty. I’m talking about MUA / Former NFL Player / Actor / Actress / Writers / Producers & the list goes on. I’ve been ‘following’ their journeys separately & their whole family unit (with #3wholeboys) for maybe 5 years now and the wisdom, gems, truth & laughter have been everything. Their 10th wedding anniversary was this month and you may have seen the video of Jamie Foxx singing for Khadeen (organised by Devale) circling around - I WEPTTTT. 😭 This family unit has been pushing positivity out into social media, tv, podcast, YouTube and just generally the world from the get go and honestly their podcast is the TRUTH. From everything around finances - birth - education - career - marriage - buying property - general day to day life - health - everything sis. They bring their truths & the experts too! Painfully honest, transparent, unapologetic and brilliant. I don’t aspire to have a relationship just like theirs but I’ve definitely learnt from, re-evaluated and aspire for more because of it.
